These necklaces came about as a direct result of the Rose Window necklaces I designed earlier. The circular outer ring has been eliminated thus making them a refined version of the original idea. They have a greater floral quality than the Rose Window necklaces and remind me of the fine lace table cloths my mother takes out for holidays and special occasions. As a child, I remember using my finger to trace the pattern of woven strings and tiny stitches on the table cloths. I believe that these types of situations provoked my fascination with detail and intricate things. I particularly like these necklaces because they are delicate and simple in form but rich in design.
