What's New?

Pop Top Necklace

I designed this necklace in response to an exhibition entitled "Refined Abundance." The name of the piece is "Pop Top Necklace" and is comprised of sterling silver and aluminum soda can tabs. This necklace references the proliferation of packaging in our society while also elevating the material's status by incorporating it into a piece of fine artwork. I'm particularly fond of the single, blue can tab that I found by accident. It proved to be the key stone of the piece. |

Camp Laurel 2007!
A big thank you to my talented metalsmithing staff, Sarah and Rebecca who were essential in keeping the metals program running smoothly this season!
And of course a very special thank you to all the Laurel campers who joined us in the studio this summer. You challenged us, made us laugh and left us with unforgettable memories. We hope you enjoyed yourselves and learned a lot and look forward to seeing you all again! |
Book Release
Recently published; "Making Metal Beads" is a high quality, full color image guide to various techniques and methods for creating unique precious metal beads. It provides 40 examples of beautifully crafted beads out of gold, silver, copper and other materials by leading artists in the field of metalsmithing.
